1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Mepp: Mise en Place (“Application”) published by PEBCAK Consulting LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Mepp Privacy Policy. For downloads from Apple’s App Store, these Terms incorporate Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
2. Local Vault Custody & Recovery Keys
Mepp encrypts your personal database locally on your device using SQLCipher AES-256 and operates zero remote servers. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your device passcode, 30-character offline Recovery Key, and .meppbackup archives. Because PEBCAK Consulting LLC never possesses your encryption keys or data, we cannot decrypt or recover a locked vault if you lose both device access and your Recovery Key.
3. Not Medical or Financial Advice
Mepp provides personal habit tracking, mood journaling, time logging, and decision-calibration tools for informational self-reflection only. Mepp is not a medical device, mental-health service, or financial advisor.
4. In-App Purchases & Tip Jar
- Lifetime Ad-Free Unlock (
com.pebcakconsulting.mepp.pro.lifetime): Optional one-time non-consumable purchase processed by Google Play Billing or Apple StoreKit 2 that permanently disables ads on devices associated with your store account. - Studio Tips (
tip.coffee,tip.lunch): Optional one-time consumable gratuities supporting ongoing development. - Refunds: Billing and refund requests are handled directly by Google Play Support or Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).
5. Open-Source Attribution
Mepp incorporates and adapts open-source work originally created by saw-your-packet under the MIT License, with native mobile, watch, encryption, and platform integrations by PEBCAK Consulting LLC.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL PEBCAK CONSULTING LLC OR ORIGINAL OPEN-SOURCE CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR DATA LOSS ARISING FROM USE OF THE APPLICATION.
