How to Play & Rescue Animals

  1. Controls: Use the dynamic on-screen joystick or connect a Bluetooth game controller (MFi, Xbox, PlayStation).
  2. Move Around: Walk, jump over bushes and rocks, run, crouch, and dance with your animal companion.
  3. Feed Treats: Walk up to any wild animal roaming the meadows and tap TREAT to offer them a delicious snack.

The Animal Follow Parade & Farmhouse Pens

  • Follower Parade: Feeding a wild animal causes them to happily follow you wherever you go! Multiple animals form a cute parade line behind you.
  • Cross-Screen Exploring: Following animals stay with you as you explore across different screen boundaries and biomes.
  • Farmhouse Animal Pens: Look for cozy Farmhouses and Red Barns across the valley (featured on over 85% of screens). Guide your following animals into the fenced Animal Pen area.
  • Victory Fanfare & Reward: Once inside the pen, hear the celebratory victory fanfare! The animal settles safely into the pen, joins your Sanctuary Compendium, and you receive +50 Golden Coins!

Character Wardrobe & Pet Companions

  • Tap the STYLE (Wardrobe) dock button to access the Character Studio anytime.
  • Customize hair styles, hair colors, skin tones, shirt and pants colors, shoes, and hats.
  • Choose your loyal starter mascot from all 4 companions: Ash (Australian Shepherd), Koda (Boxer), Luna (Tuxedo Cat), and Milo (Ginger Cat).

Parental Controls & Parent Zone

  • Tap the PARENTS button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  • A multiplication math challenge verifies adult access before unlocking the settings panel.
  • Rewarded Ad Switch: Parents can completely toggle off optional bonus rewarded ads. When toggled off, the game runs 100% ad-free at natural progression speed.
  • Zero Third-Party Tracking: No personal data or advertising identifiers are ever collected.

Farm Friends operates 100% offline without remote developer servers to protect your family’s privacy:

  • All game saves are stored directly on your device.
  • To preserve your rescued animals and coins when upgrading devices, ensure your device’s native Apple iCloud Backup (iOS) or Google Device Backup (Android) is enabled.
