How to Play & Solve Mysteries

  1. Explore Mini-Boston: Tap anywhere on the street—or use the on-screen joystick—to walk around 6 food-themed Boston districts.
  2. Enter the Crime Scene: Tap the glowing CRIME SCENE marker (or open HQ to choose any of the 26 handcrafted mysteries).
  3. Uncover 3 Clues & Solve the Lab/Puzzle: Tap numbered evidence spots (#1–#8) to uncover all 3 Clues, dust for prints or scan with UV in FORENSICS, and solve the case’s PUZZLE riddle or cipher.
  4. Pin the Corkboard & Issue the Warrant: Open BOARD, match WHO + WHERE + PROOF, and tap VERIFY WARRANT before accusing the culprit!
  5. In-Game Field Guide: Tap ? GUIDE in the top menu bar anytime to search or browse all 8 chapters of the Detective Field Guide.

Large-Print Clue Reader & Boston Dialect Toggle

  • Every discovered clue, case briefing, suspect alibi, and forensic scan opens in a spacious 28pt Closeable Clue Popup that stays on screen until you tap GOT IT! CLOSE ✓ or X.
  • Tap TEXT: BOS / TEXT: ENG inside the popup header (or CC in Precinct HQ) anytime to switch between playful Boston slang and plain Standard English.
  • Tap CLUES: X/3 in the Crime Scene top bar to review the Case Briefing and all discovered clues in one Dossier view.

Kiwi Character Designer & Flying Kiwi Bird

  • Tap FIT in the top HUD (or REDESIGN CHARACTER in Precinct HQ) to customize your Detective Callsign, coat, hat, glasses, shoes, Kiwi flesh tint, and food pet sidekick.
  • Tap FLY in the bottom-right corner of the city map to transform from a Kiwi Fruit into a flapping Kiwi Bird and soar across Boston!

Parental Controls & Parent Zone

  • Open HQ and tap PARENT ZONE (or access via Settings) and complete the 3-step adult math verification gate + 2-second hold confirmation.
  • Rewarded Ad Kill-Switch: Parents can disable optional bonus video ads with one tap so children play 100% offline/naturally.
  • In-App Privacy Policy Viewer: View the full COPPA/GDPR-K privacy summary directly inside the Parent Zone without leaving the app.

  • Detective Points, Stars, and Badges sync automatically with Apple Game Center when signed in on iOS/iPadOS.
